Yes you can. I just lost 8lbs in 3 days. My goal is 60 lbs in one month you have to stay under 800 calories virtually no carbs just meat very little cheese. Most importantly a gallon of water a day. If you can stand atkins shakes drink two of those then a chicken breast and a cup of broccoli and diet jello is free. If you can stay near 500 calories you will lose more like 3 lbs a day. I promise but you have to put your mind to it I know I'm ready.

This kind of routine will probably put your body into 'starvation mode' which actually means that it clings on to fat because it thinks you are starving. This is really dangerous, esspecially as the recommended daily amount is around 1600 for women and 2000 for men.

You can do that, but be flexible. If you do a lot of exercise during the day (even walking around) you need to add healthy snacks as well. If you just eat 500 cal and exercise all the time you will get sick. If you have a headache or stomach ache from not eating or are about to exercise add a light snack, like apples or even a protein bar.
Have a regular meal as well, just eat sensibly. If you only eat the same thing over and over, you'll lose weight but your body won't get all the nutrients it needs. Also, avoid weight loss shakes that are premade. Try making your own juices (that way you are drinking fresh fruit and veggies) or have a half salad.

Well, you could starve yourself, but having been down that path, I would not recommend it. You could aim to lose 3 lbs a week or a while, just remember to drink a whole lotta water before, during, and after meals to stay full.

Your question is really interesting and I'd love to answer it. If you're a really determined person and your aim is to get rid of 70 pounds no matter what it may cost. Then you can get it very easily. But in a case you're a lazy person then in this case you can't lose even 7 pounds in one month.

Remember that whatever you eat it becomes the part of the body. The first and the most important thing is to use it and let it not be the fats on your body. To lose fats you must do cardio and it is simple to do. Cardio means to make your heart beat so fast that will lead to melt the fats in your body. It has a formula for every age. The following is the basic formula.
220-your age= result * 60% = required heart beat rate per minutes.
For example if you're 20 years of old then your required heart beat rate can be calculated as under.

220-20=200*60%=120 beats per minutes. So you need to keep your heart beat at the 120 beats per minutes for one hour to lose the weight. And you can do it by jogging for one hour, or swimming for one hour or any other aerobic exercise. And I ensure you you will lose 70 pounds if you'll do it just within 30 days. In this way you can lose 70lbs in one month. I bet.

I eat five days of red fruit and veggies. Two days of green fruits and veggies. Is a total of 7 pounds just doing that. Then 7 more pounds a week by drinking 27 gallons or 435 8oz glasses of ice water everyday. Then do my best effort to burn an extra 3500 calories a day so its about 20 pounds a week.

Just so you all know that dieting in the ways mentioned above you need to know that you will ruin your metabolism.  By ruining your metabolism this way you will need to understand that in the future you will be unable to lose weight even in a healthy manner.  Also by starving yourself like the diets mentioned above you need to know that the minute you stop and eat half way healthy your body will store all fat, and you will have more weight than you currently have.  Just eat healthier, become active and try to aim for about 10lbs a month.

I lost 60 pounds in 1 month and I suffered a heart event a few days a go that almost killed me. I now have a blood clot in my right leg. I would say that you could get away with fast weight loss only for a few weeks then cut back to 3 pounds loss a week for a month then go back radical again for a few weeks. Make sure you take vitamins and drink lots of water. Be careful and good luck. I never took any drugs nor did I exercise. Just fish, chicken diet pudding, rice foods like that between 500 to 800 daily. I'm 6'4" and 50 years old 200# now

It is impossible to lose seventy pounds in one month even if you are willing to starve yourself. The best way to lose weight is to avoid junk food, drink lots of water, eat food in smaller portions, and do regular exercise. This way, you can sustain your weight loss. Instant weight loss techniques might make you thin for a while but you will not be able to maintain it.

I'm going on vacation as well in december, and I'm to big to want to wear any summer clothes so I don't want to go anywhere near to bikinis + swimsuits at the moment. I'm 140lbs, and I want to lose around 70 or 60 lbs before I go on holiday. So I'm starting a 500-600 Cal's a day diet and exercising for around 4 hours a day. I know its not healthy but I'm desperate, think how good you will look in that bikini if you loose all that weight. Good luck x

If you're 140 lbs and lose 60-70 lbs, you will look absolutely DISGUSTING in a bikini. Like a skeleton with pieces of fabric hanging off of it. Why would you want to kill yourself? This is a form of slow suicide.

You're 11, you're still growing. Almost everyone goes through a chubby phase, especially right before puberty which is where you are. I am a nurse and I have 2 daughters. My oldest is 15 and at 11 she was overweight. By just eating normally over the next few years and normal healthy exercise, and going through puberty (which burns a LOT of calories to do!), you will naturally grow into yourself instead of unhealthful dieting and starving yourself which will stunt your growth and can even KILL you or damage your organs permanently. My daughter is now 125 lbs, age 15 and 5'2" tall which is perfect for her height.

70lbs in 1 month is not a realistic amount of weight loss.

To the person who said its possible and they lost 8 pounds in 3 days...You always lose a lot the first week as the weight loss is a combination of fat loss and water weight loss.

There is no healthy way to lose 70lbs in 1 month and unless you are very, morbidly obese, even if you attempted a diet of eating practically nothing, you would not likely achieve 70lbs of loss in 1 month.

Lets break it down:

If you weighed 400lbs, your maintenance caloric intake (calories to maintain your current weight) would be : Bodyweight x 15 (400x15 = 6,000 calories/day).

Now to lose 1 pound, you need to have a deficit of 3,500 calories.

So you can see how it helps the more overweight you are, it would make it easier to create the needed deficit to lose the weight.

Even so, you'd have to have some crazy unhealthy diet where you only eat 500 calories daily.

Now, you didn't put on that weight in 1 month, so its best to give yourself a more reasonable amount of time to take it off, or else chances are you're just going to put the weight back on when you slip into old habits.

Here's a more realistic diet/exercise plan that will work.

I've lost a ton of weight and gained it back doing some of the methods above, but that is because I reverted back to an unhealthy lifestyle. If you want to do a 700 cal diet, thats fine but you need to ease yourself into it and you need to have some days where you can 'splurge' but not too much... You also need to ensure that you are getting the nutrients that you need. Here is my current diet plan and it seems to be working well for me, but remember that it is ok to deviate a little bit. (If you tell yourself you can't have something you only want it more - so if you want brownies, go ahead and eat one or split one, just write it in your food diary)

In the morning I make 1 thing of juice

My juice uses about a cup of salad mix (arugula, spinach, baby lettice), 1/4 cup of shredded carrots, 2 strawberries, 1 mango chunk (I love Mangos!), about 1/6 cup of OJ and 10 oz of water. Its like drinking a salad with all fresh stuff and tastes really good.

In the afternoon, I make 2 servings of the juice to drink slowly throughout the day. This keeps me full and eliminates my snacking. If my friends are going out to eat, I will forgo the juice and get a salad. (Most fast food places have half salads that are really filling)

For dinner, I eat what I please, but I have a few rules...

- If I eat out, I must get a salad (I like Chicken Cesar Salads because they have protein that helps your body)

- If I eat processed foods, I must read the label first.

- I count my calories and write down what I eat. If I go over my target, that's ok, but because I have a record of it I tend to stay away from junk food.

Remember, if you are starving, you should eat something. Your body won't burn fat if its too hungry and if you are actively burning calorioes, you will be hungry. Snack on things like carrot sticks with a little ranch or apple slices. Apples are my favorite. Even a Special K bar can be good (rather than a candy bar) Also remember, there are a TON of negative calorie foods out there.

Drink a lot of water and then after you drop the weight, add more food to your diet, sticking to 1,600 - 2,000 calories per day. Portion control, healthy eating and exercising will keep the weight off.

That didn't come out right, I lost the weight doing unhealthy things, gained it back quickly. NOW after a few years I am dieting again and doing this is causing me to loose weight. I don't weigh myself either bc its stressful, when my clothes feel looser I know I've lost weight lol Muscle weighs more than fat, so working out can make the number seem off even when your body is leaner.

Actually heres a great tip its a new diet I'm starting because of my low self esteem/ depression thats is somewhat caused be weight. Im about 5"3 and being larger runs in the family on both sides so i got the rotten part of that deal. I currently weigh 170 and Im 13 turning 14 in a little over 2 months and Halloween is coming and I might be going with friends in a really epic costume but don't want to be depressed.

In the morning either make 1 egg you can make an omelet but don't add a lot of cheese. Or have a protein shake/breakfast essentials. This should keep u for a good few hours.

Then for lunch have vanilla yogurt with fresh raspberries.

Drink a lot if water if u can drink a gallon within the first 4-6 hours you are awake same thing every 4-6 hours but don't worry if You are sleeping.

For a snack have a carrot not baby carrots.

For dinner have 1/2 cup of grains ,1 glass of milk a serving of fruits and veggies, and a 3/4 cup protein.

Take a 1 hour jog or exercise.

Take hot shower heat will help.

Do that on weekdays.

On weekends bee a little more free but if u snack or have a sweet only eat half a serving

And only 1 soda per weekend. Limit grains still and just don't pig out

Tell me how it goes and I'll tell you how my  diet works out.

That is an extreme weight loss. I would not like to see anybody lose that much weight unless they were following a plan by a physician or a dietitian. Any weight loss can only be done by taking in less calories than you burn. So a program of diet an exercise is the way to go. However. People that lose weight on a crash basis usually put it back on. It is better to go for a regular steady weight loss by changing your habits to something that you can live with on a permanent basis. If you wants to calculate your weight on daily basis you can use this Weight Loss Calculator,it shows the appropriate results.

1. Eat about 6 small complete meals throughout the day (fish, almonds, walnuts, and lean proteins in general, plenty of raw fruits and vegetables, and complex multigrain carbohydrates) spaced out about every 2-3 hours. Consume between 1500-2500 calories a day.
2. Do NOT starve yourself, do NOT binge eat.
3. Be as active as you can; nothing to do for 10 minutes? Knockout 10 elevated push-ups.
4. Eat some spicy foods; take a decent amount of vitamin C, and drink between a half-gallon and a whole gallon of WATER a day.
5. No more soda. Ever.
6. If you do drink coffee, drink it black.
7. Do at least 35 minutes of cardio straight at least once a day, at least three times a week, more if you are not trying to put on muscle. Think of the body as a calculator or machine. To gain weight, you need to have a greater input than output (eating more calories than you are burning) and the opposite is true for losing weight, you need to be eating fewer calories and burning more. You need to start writing down what you are eating and how many calories you are eating a day. I recommend that you eat no more than 800 calories a day, and drink LOTS of water. Water will help fill you up and it is necessary when trying to lose weight and gain muscle (muscle is 70% water)  I suggest you Atkins diet foods through this you get more results about what can you eat on the Atkins diet .

okay, to get into shape , speed up your metabolism, rid yourself of excess fat and lose weight ,,,,,do as follows:

Stop drinking & smoking (if you do this regularly)
eat fruits & vegetables all you can (buy a slow cooker /food steamer & rice/pasta cooker to make it easy on you)...(vegetables might not seem "tasty", like junk foods,, but can be as you aquire your taste to them..and are loaded with energy and nutrients)...avoid all junk food, cokes, sweets, etc...and drink mainly water (green tea , juice & milk being the other options you drink). If you eat meat ,,use only steamed, baking or grilled methods for preparing fish or chicken.

You cannot lose 3 lbs a day, that is water weight. To lose 1 lb you have to burn 3500calories. Very few people can do that in one day, even professional athletes only burn around 7000 per day working out 8 hours a day.
