Diarrhoea is a common sign that you may be pregnant, as well as constipation, which is assuredly quite the opposite. Even though it can be all too easy to jump to conclusions, it’s always recommended that you take a pregnancy test as soon as possible. The results will begin to become accurate 10 days after the supposed conception took place.

Many expectant mothers experience diarrhoea because of how their digestive system reacts to the hormonal imbalance of having a baby. Even though you may experience it with your first child, it’s important to emphasise that you may not also suffer diarrhoea in subsequent pregnancies - so don’t let this embarrassing side effect put you off!

The period of time for which you’ll suffer from diarrhoea depends on your body. Equally, even though some people may experience their discomfort early on in their pregnancy (just a few weeks after conception), others will only suffer from diarrhoea a few months into their pregnancy.

You may wish to take some medicine to alleviate the symptoms of diarrhoea, allowing you to have some normal rhythm during pregnancy. After all, you may not be able to take maternity leave so early! However, you should always ensure that the drugs you are planning to take are suitable for expectant mothers, and the best way to do this is by seeing a prenatal specialist. As these professionals work with dozens of pregnant women every day, they will have the experience and expertise to ease your suffering - offering advice on the best things to try.

Yes it is possible to be pregnant, or it could just be a stomach flue... But from what I have read any substantial change in bowel movements is considered a reasonably common sign of pregnancy, your hormones are all crazy and lets face it there is some very new things going on down near your bowels. I too have had diarrhoea  for a couple weeks now and am really hoping it's not another baby, I have a 2 1/2 yr old and a 6mo old and have been breast feeding so have not gotten my period again yet. So of course we have been stupid and not been as protected as we should during sex. 3 kids in 4 years... Oh boy lesson learned, Protection, protection, protection.  Well I figure I will have to wait a week or two before I am far enough along to bother buying a test.
And to all of you who are pregnant I had almost all the unpleasant symptoms that you can have while pregnant with my first two...and then drug free home birth. And now that they are here it was worth every moment of discomfort! Congrats to each of you.

The internet is terrible when it come to advise. I only now just picked up your stories of diarrhea. I have been researching pregnancy all morning. I had unprotected sex on the13/14 day of my regular cycle. I have had inplantation cramps and all the spotting signs. I have been suffering with the runs for over a week. I don't know if I am pregnant. Seems to much advise is better than none !!

My husband and I are trying for a child and I have been having diarrhea for the last week or so.  I thought something was terribly wrong with me until I found other women had this as well. I am going to try and take a test next week, but it's good to know others have it and I'm not overthinking I may be preggo.

diarrhea is not a symptom of pregnancy. Nausea and a tendency to vomit are symptoms that a pregnant woman may display during the early periods (also called morning sickness). diarrhea is more an irritation than an ailment, and is characterized by frequent bowel movements resulting in the passage of watery motions.

There are a number of reasons why people can contract diaherra. Pregnancy is not one of them.diarrhea is usually seen in people who have had food poisoning or have been exposed to contaminated water.

diarrhea usually lasts for a day or two, and the only effect you feel is weakness because of excessive dehydration due to loss of body fluids. In some cases, the Diaherra can last for a long time, and then it is a symptom of something being seriously wrong with the body, and requires immediate medical intervention.

Pregnancy, on the other hand, is a physical condition, not a disease, and is characterized by a range of symptoms.

There are symptoms and signs in the different time during the pregnancy period. When we talk about the signs of pregnancy, the diarrhea is not considered as the sign of pregnancy. The most of the major signs and confirming signs of pregnancy are the menstruation period end. In pregnancy period the menstruation period is so much disturbed and disordered. I have also heard that during the pregnancy time, the menstruation period stops (I am not sure whether this information is correct or not). Another major considered sign is the vomiting in the start. Also there are some sign on the breast of the woman.

You can consult a maternity doctor for the detail of the pregnancy signs. As far as my information is concerned, diarrhea is not a sign that shows the pregnancy. However, it may happen that due to the pregnancy, a woman got diarrhea but in the major signs of pregnancy you can not find diarrhea any where. So in my opinion diarrhea is not a sign of pregnancy. You should also consult a maternity doctor or you can search on the internet for the details of the sign of pregnancy.

I have been experiencing the same thing with the diarrhea. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant so a and 1 week and 1/2 later after my most fertal ovulation date that we had sex I have crazy bowl movements. I am a week away form my period. I am also experiencing nausea but no vomiting. I have 2 other children and I don't recall having diarrhea part of the signs of pregnancy. But they say that no pregnancy is the same. I will just have to wait I guess.

You have asked whether diarrhoea is a symptom of pregnancy or not. First of all you should know what diarrhoea means. In fact this is due to some disorder or some distress in the gastrointestinal system. And this causes excessive and frequent evacuation of watery feces. Although it is a very disturbing thing, it is not a symptom of pregnancy. Pregnancy has some other symptoms. One of them is stopping the menstrual cycle while a women actually gets pregnant.

So you should be sure that it is a symptom of pregnancy. A person can get diarrhoea if he does not keep balance in his routine between calorie burning and food. If he eats too much, and he does not care what he is eating. Either he needs to eat it or not. In this case the chances of getting this problem are very high. But if a person keeps a check on his eatables, and he keeps a good balance in his diet, then he will not only get good health but the chances of getting any kind of problem relating to diarrhoea for that person are very low. Diarrhoea is basically due to excessive eating. It's not a symptom of pregnancy
