Can You Have A Miscarriage And Not Know It?

Yes and No.
If you miscarry, the light bleeding will turn into heavy bleeding and will be accompanied by strong lower abdominal pain that comes and goes. When a miscarriage is taking place, you should find a passage of embryonic material in the blood. A brownish discharge may mean a missed miscarriage. Sometimes, if the fertilized egg doesn't develop, the sac is empty and no embryonic material could have passed.
Also, it is likely that the date of miscarriage won't be exactly the same as the one you expected your period, so if you have some other indications of pregnancy too, like exhaustion etc visit your doctor as the bleeding could signal a miscarriage

Yes, dear. I fear you can miscarry without knowing. Sometimes miscarriage occurs early in pregnancy (soon after conception) and so you may have a period or some bleeding. The embryo would still be microscopic, just a tiny thing, so it would be difficult for you to know that you may have been pregnant and then miscarried. Whenever there is miscarriage, there will be some sort of bleeding, as the body will be discarding the uterine lining. Y'can purchase a home pregnancy test these days, dear, that can give you a better idea of it if you are fretting about it. But if you suspect miscarriage or have experienced bleeding, dear, I believe y'should go to your doctor immediately for professional diagnosis and treatment. It is my hope that all will be well with ye.

My mom had a miscarriage and didn't know it. She didn't know if she was pregnant, but she felt how she had when she was pregnant w/ me and my sister (e.g. tired, wasn't getting her period). Then my dad died and she went to spiritual peeps and they told her that he was w/ the unborn child. Until then, she hadn't known for sure if she was pregnant or not.

Hi, I am 21. I have two kids. I have been sick for 2 weeks. (Sweating real bad, sick, bad pains in my back, headaches, and feeling real lifeless) I had  what I assume to be my period a week befor. But then I started bleeding again a week later. My stomach has been cramping and the bottom part of my spine has this random sharp, harsh pains that makes my skin crawl. Could this be a possible miscarriage?

A sac came out of me and the doctors made me get it and bring it in.. Inside it was a little baby. This has freaked me out so much. I only only now realizing what just happened to me and I am so upset. Not cause I wanted a baby, or was planning it at all. But I just don't know what to feel.. I don't know what emotions I am having. I am all alone too, my boyfriend has just traveled.. I live alone.. This is very hard to try and come to terms with what has just happened to me.

You can miscarry and not know it, I found out that I had miscarried during a regular OB-GYN exam. I was told that my body was in the process of soaking everything back in I was 15 weeks and what was a regular exam ended with a scheduled appointment for a D&C that same day.
So yes it can happen.

I have had 7 miscarriages most recent last Friday Jan 11, 08

Yes a lot of women do, it depends on how far along you are. You will have like severe cramps and excessive bleeding, if it's early sometimes it will just be like a heavy period.

I missed a couple pills last month and got my period a week early. Since then I kept bleeding but it was a lighter bleeding, not as heavy a a normal period and it was usually a brownish red color. I kept taking my birth control pills to try to get my period back on track and now I'm at the end of a cycle or pills and got my period. Was the bleeding between periods just my body readjusting to the hormones or could it have been a miscarriage?

That was the dumbest thing anyone has ever said. A miscarriage is not a choice. Wise up.

No, I don't think so it can happen. Miscarriage is not a small thing to ignore. Your body will feel it with intensity.

You have to make abortion to clear the stuff inside you. But in the very very beginning of your pregnancy, if you jump high and down, it can happen that your baby may be lost. But you will still feel it.
