I haven't had a period in a year, February 5th was exactly a year. I'm really concerned about not having one and wonder if I can still have children.

I had almost exactly the same problem and no one could give me answers.  Try talking to your doctor about the possibility of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (tests include hormonal tests and ultrasounds, outlined pretty well here: www.womens-health.co.uk ).  If that's truly your problem, you will need some sort of hormone control, but it doesn't necessarily have to be birth control.  Good luck!

I don't know! I asked my pediatrician (I'm 17). She ran some tests, and there was nothing wrong with my thyroid, not pregnant (virgin) and no other diseases (thank god). I don't know what's wrong and I'm also really scared of not being able to have children. I have an appointment with an endocrinologist tomorrow so I'm thinking she'll just put me on birth control or something. You could think about scheduling an appointment with an endocrinologist as well. Good luck!!
