Spotting before start of periods or at the end of the periods is not part of the periods. It also does not indicate pregnancy. Only implantation bleeding which occurs in few ladies in the form of spots can be indication of pregnancy. This implantation bleeding occurs a week before periods and does not last for more than one day. Spotting other than this does not indicates pregnancy.
