EtG stands for ethyl glucuronide which is one of the metabolite of the alcohol. This metabolite can stay in the body for 80 hours or 5 days. EtG testing can detect presence of ethyl glucuronide in the urine without confirming amount of alcohol consumed. So, this test tells only that alcohol was used in last 5 days without knowing amount of alcohol used.
