Why Is The Catholic Church Against The Practice Of Abortion?

Religious figures have taken parts of the bible to mean that life starts at conception, not actual birth. Since committing murder goes against the ten commandments, killing a fetus is still killing, thus catholics being pro-life.

Proverbs 24:11 Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to

wondrous things on earth; Who fosters men growth from
their mother's womb, and fashions them according to his will!
Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you."

The Catholic Church is against abortion because it is a sin (the fifth commandment: Thou shall not kill). The Catholic Church has always considered abortion as a grave evil. The Catholic Church said that any method used to terminate a human life from the moment of conception until birth is an abortion and therefore an ex-communicable offense.

Because abortion is murder and in the bible it says "You shall not kill".  That first of all.  Second what do you think should we kill off all the deaf mutes because they can't tell you not to?  Third babies have nervous systems and can feel themselves being murdered which I think is just horrible.  How would you like someone burning you alive?  How would you like your body cut to pieces?  Would you like someone to shove scissors in your neck and suck out your brains?  An abortion mill is just a legal place for serial killers to perform the offences and for some reason our government condones it.

The fifth of the Ten Commandments, given to Moses on Mount Sinai, forbids direct and intentional killing as gravely sinful. The Church says that at fertilisation, a life begins which is neither that of the father nor the mother. It is the life of a human being with its own growth. It therefore teaches that unborn children should be recognised as having the rights of a person, of which the most fundamental is that of a right to life for all innocent human beings. The Church teaches that human life should be protected from the moment of conception until natural death. Any procurement of abortion merits automatic excommunication from the Church and is subjected to the conditions provided by the Church's Canon Law. This teaching against abortion according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church has not changed since the first century and "remains unchangeable".

Because it is against the natural family planning and is believed to be murder, and baby in the womb is not just a fetus, the baby in the womb is a human being at 3 week gestation that is when a heart beat is formed.

Abortion is a murder in the womb,,,, and we don't own our body and souls it's belong to our Lord who created us...

Most people today think that Planned Parenthood and Nazi Germany have little in common. Their histories show otherwise. Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, subscribe to a Hitler type philosophy of Eugenics - the science of improving "racial health" by socially engineering human reproduction. Both Hitler and the founders of Planned Parenthood advocate birth control, sterilization, and segregation in concentration camps for the "unfit."

I bet you did not know, that the Abortion Racket is big $. I bet you did not know, that big $ was thrown at making abortion legal and socially acceptable to make bigger $.
What you don't know can and will harm society's present and future survival.

Because a book written by tribesmen thousands of years ago says so.

Because it is the taking of a life.

The church is a patriarchal institution and therefore run and dictated by men. In my opinion it a way for the church to control women's lives and because of their elvated social standing due their preconception of being the moral apex of society .they are allowed to therefore enforce restrictions on women. Therefore my point is its another way for the church to eforce power on the masses.
It may be "morally" right, but is it humanly right for a woman not to choose if she wants to be pregnant or not in this contemporary society
plus isn't there enough people in the world anyway!!!!!!
