There is no report suggesting any relationship between gender and memory. Until proven, we can conclude that they don't have any relation.
Men are supposedly able to remember roads better if they have a love of travel or of biking. Females who are family-oriented can remember things such as dates and recipes better. But often people think that short-term memory is based on the person in question's interest in the matter.
Gender might affect memory by the size of their brains. It's said that female and male have different brain sizes. Or it's because of interests or things people usually do:)
