On the day you are set to start your period SHOULD be enough time but then it also depends on the amount of the pregnancy hormone a person has. The hormone is most concentrated in the morning after you wake up. So if you had your last period on let's say July 15th or earlier in July then you should (should but the body is complex) probably know one way or the other.
