What influences growth speed?

That's a hard question to answer, as it depends on a number of factors (such as how much you eat, how often you exercise, how tall your parents are, etc.).

As you're getting closer to puberty, you are likely to see an increase in height, as well as growth of body hair, deepening of the voice, and developing the much hated 'BO'.

Average height

Currently, you're the average height for your age. It's pretty much guesswork when figuring out how much you will grow, but based on the national average, I doubt you will grow taller than 5'7 by 13 or 14.

The average teenage male grows about 4" per year, so in the four months until you're 13, you probably won't grow more than 1" or 1.5".

Puberty

This is a stage of 'accelerated growth', where you'll notice changes in your voice, body and mind. To learn more about height increase during puberty, you can watch the videos below.
