I have fractured my elbow and I'm wondering how long it will be before I can go back to work? It's very painful.

Usually takes 6-8 Weeks for a fracture to heal. Going back to work however would depend on what kind of work you're doing and when the doctor feels you are ready.

I learned a fracture is worse than a break, it could be least 2 months or better before you start to feel good. I know my late mom fractured her elbow in 1993 it was long time before she got on her feet.

Now if your work can give you light duties than you may be able to return to work but than again you're not going be able to lift a lot of weight. You got to watch bumping your elbow, I imagine you're going to need therapy to get your elbow to feel better too.
