What is the best way to treat a pulled muscle?

Cold and then heat. Find one of those heat/cold packs that you microwave till it's warm and use that and then put it in the freezer and use it again. All a Doctor will do is give you muscle relaxers. They just cover up the pain is all. Heat then cold ! Just don't fall asleep when you have it hot. I got a nice burn from that. Heat will relax the muscle and cold will make any swelling go away.

Try ice then heat like Rooster said, you may also add some anti-inflammatory medication....Advil, Motrin, aspirin if you're not allergic. A massage therapist can also help! Good luck!

What Rooster and Angela said along with a nice soak in a hot tub with the jets massaging the area.
