Sometimes it seems that I get at least one cold a year, sometimes more. Luckily I don't seem to get anything worse than a cold, but it still sucks. I'm in bed with a fever today and it seems like just a few weeks ago I had another cold. -_-

Lately I've been working around kids, so I think that's been making it worse for me.

I haven't had a cold or the flu in years now. But I have Meniere's disease which makes me dizzy and lose my balance about once a month that strikes me good. Severe nausea but I have meds for it. Just now coming off a week long battle with it.

Very seldom.  I guess I'm generally pretty healthy.  I do think that sometimes ... A positive attitude helps though.  But I do understand that even that can't overcome serious illness.

The older I get the less often I get sick. I worked around kids all the time when I was in my twenties and I had my own kids. I was sick all the time during those years. I haven't been sick in years.

I work around kids now and it's taking a toll on me. Hopefully I'll get more used to it.

Feel better soon. Only thing you can do is get a yearly flu shot, wash your hands like you've got OCD and keep hands away from eyes, and nose. Strip off work clothes as soon as you get home.

I have the kind of problems that old people expect, but  I wouldn't call myself "sick".

I do have terminal senescence which will catch up with me sooner or later.  Poor Didge. *Sob*

I get migraines frequently. If I get a cold, it usually happens in the fall. I hate being sick.

Yes, me too. I should go back to my chiropractor, but all the visits will be out of pocket expenses since my deductible is $750. I know people have a higher deductible, but $750 is still a bunch of money to me!

Thankfully not that often, but I am one of those people who listens to their body. I can tell early on. If my body is fighting something. I'll feel a little tired. When I feel that way I get rest and I am fine. If I don't get the rest I get sick. It is much easier to make time for a nap and/or early bedtime than a couple of days for being sick.

I guess the older I get the sicker I get.  Last five months hospitalized 4 times, intestinal blockage resolved with gallbladder surgery., excessive tiredness resolved with Cardiac Catherization Surgery.  Oral surgery to finish implants this month, followed by nasal sinus surgery.  Maybe when they get done I'll get a warranty.  On a good note I'm feeling better!

Hi Happy! Most Veterian first responder developed a dark sense of humor. The longer you do it the darker it gets I guess! Too many years of dealing with the most horrible things possible. I can't watch a scary blood and guts movie to this day why, been there, saw that! Cops build a hard shell as a self defence, nothing can get in, unless you let! You can easily get to a point where you won't let in people that want to help in! Unfortunately cops lead the nation in alcoholism, divorce, and suicide! I dealt the the bad areas with dark humor. Hopefully I didn't offend anyone with my response.

I seldom get sick, maybe several times per year, sometimes I got ill, but almost from catching the virus from my grand-children, as I always went to visit them in Bretagne, they are still small only 5 and 3 years old, and  they often got a cold from other children in school.
