You did not put the weight on "really fast" and you aren't going to lose it "really fast"! With that said, what you have listed for a plan to lose the weight looks to be a good way to go, as long as those 1800 calories are coming from a balanced diet.

As for a short 5 minute workout, check out some exercise sites. A friend of mine swears by SparkPeople. She lost 50 lbs. In about 6 months using it.

I agree that rarely does anyone put weight in fast and it's unrealistic to think you can (or should) lose it fast.  Also, unless you have a physically active (besides the exercise you've noted in your question) 1800 calories is most likely too much.  Also remember it's not just how many calories you take in but what foods are making up those calories.

Losing weight and maintaining a good level of health can be quite complicated, because there are many factors involved .. But Simply put ... Losing weight is basically dependant upon a mathematical equation.    Calories in < Calories out = weight loss.

The complicated factors involve the speed of one's metabolism.  You can increase your metabolism by concentrating more on finding the prefered balance of fuel and energy expenditures. Types of fuel consumed for example plays a big part in your level of good health. You CAN lose weight be eating nothing put pop and chips and working out a lot .. But, your health level will decline dramatically.

When losing weight do not lose focus on maintaining, or better yet,  improving health.
