If you broke it all they'll do at the hospital is drill a hole in your nail to relieve pressure .... It sucks but will feel better after the drilling is over ....but the drilling sucks ... So much.
Is my toe broken? Someone crushed it around 4 hours ago and it is still throbbing. I wouldn't know if the bone was shifting because if I did break it, it's under my nail. Feel free to ask follow up questions
It is very difficult to tell if a toe is broken or not without an x-ray. With that said even if it is broken, there isn't much they can do about it. So broken or not, elevate it, and ice it to keep ay swelling down. Wear shoes that have plenty of room and support. When I went to the doctor because I suspected I broke my toe I was wearing my hiking boots. They told me those were they best thing I could be wearing. They sent me for an x-ray and it was broken. The only thing I did differently was tape my toe to the one next to it for a couple of weeks.
