For my fellow migraine sufferers.....have you come across any new treatment that actually works? I'm currently into my third day and looking for something that might be new that I haven't tried yet. Suggestions?

I don't think any of the migraine sufferers can help you right now  Angela ... Cos they're all laying in a dark room with a cold cloth on their head :/ or having sex.

@angela I didn't notice your earlier comment :/ it's not an Option for me either for 6 freakin days ... I'm kinda sacred I'm gonna start hanging upside down again or sliding down my staircase on pillows :) I usually end up with bruises when I'm left home alone too long :) that's not a sexual thing or migraine problem though... I even miss stupid golf right now :)

Sorry, no. I'm one of those rare birds who gets optical migraines. There's no pain but I can only see misty outlines of everything for anything from 30 minutes to several hours. I'm pretty useless when that happens.

I have heard of those too. I'm just tired of being a guinea pig! Would like something that actually works.

I get optical migraines too, but I get a mild headache afterwards, and it only lasts three hours at most.

Thankfully, migraine headaches are not one of the condition added to my many ailments. :)  Here are some information that I research and hopefully will be of some help to you.

When Pills Make Headaches Worse:

“Neurologists estimates up to 10 per cent of headache sufferers are plagued by ‘analgesic abuse’ induced headaches,” states The Daily Telegraph of Sydney, Australia. “Instead of a weekly headache, over-reliance on over-the-counter remedies can result in headaches every day.” One Professor associated with the University of New South Wales, found that “patients who abuse headache tablets have a shortage of serotonin,” a substance that restricts the expansion of blood vessels. “Low levels of serotonin cause the arteries to dilate, and that brings on headaches,” he notes. He recommends that migraine sufferers use specialized medicines prescribed by a doctor rather than over-the-counter pills, adding: “If [patients] take [painkiller] tablets more than three times a week, even one dose three times a week, then within a few months their headaches will get worse.”

Hello
Angela! Have you tried something as simple as drinking more water? Dehydration
is one of the main causes of migraine or the regular head ache. Have at least
two litres of the liquid a day and if you can take an additional one this is
likely to help you even more!

Hi Nealious! Yes, I stay well hydrated, I am particularly looking for things people may have tried out of the ordinary that have worked for them. Thank you for answering!
