That answer is completely and totally WRONG. Ovulation only lasts for 12-24 HOURS. It usually occurs between 12 and 16 days after your last period ends, but it varies from woman to woman. The day after ovulation, the "luteal phase" of your menstrual cycle begins and this lasts anywhere from 12-16 days until your next period arrives.

Ovulation lasts 7-10 days after your last period. But you can always get those ovulation kits to aide in getting the exact day.
