You should wait a week before taking a test, especilaly if you are not bleeding cramping and a missed period can be signs of pregnancy, this is becouse the womb is making space, but if you are bleeding this can be the sign of chemical pregnancy( occurs in 50% of pregnancies) it a very early miscarriage so to speak, but cramping and no bleeding could also be the signs of you missing ovulation as you didnt produce an egg last month, there are lots of reason to y you are having a late period stress change in diet and lack of iron being a just a few,

You need to wait about a week to do the test after  your period was suppose to start. Now you can have a blood test 3 days after your period is suppose to start as well and it is more accurate. It is to early right now.

There are tests that can detect the hormone in your urine up to 5 days before you start, but if you are cramping, I would give it a couple of more days
