When it comes to calculating your weight and working out whether or not you are medically classed as overweight or underweight, your age does not play a relevant role, so forget about the fact that you are 46 years old.

You are a female and you stand at a height of five feet and three inches, therefore your "normal" weight should be 54.43-58.06 Kilograms or 120-128 pounds or 8 stone and 7.99 pounds. These weights along with your height when used in a BMI calculation put you in the healthy range with a Body Mass Index of 21.11. BMI calculators can be found on the Internet just by conducting a simple Google search for BMI calculator. Once you have found one, enter your height and weight and click calculate and the results will tell you what your BMI is and what category you are in. A BMI of under 18.5 is considered underweight and a BMI of 30 to 40 is considered to be obese. An ideal BMI number should be between 18.5 and 25.

However you should not just use the BMI calculation to determine if you are overweight because the BMI system has some great limitations. First of all, it does not take into account how much muscle you have (which as you probably know weighs more than fat). BMI is particularly inaccurate for younger people who are quite fit or athletic because they have a higher muscle mass which tends to make them overweight by BMI standards. Secondly, BMI does not take into account your frame size for example, you might be a perfectly healthy person with a large body frame but the BMI scale will class you as overweight. And finally, BMI does not account for any loss of height through aging which will cause the weight to increase without any consideration of height loss when getting older.

Sorry everyone but women in the 30-60 age bracket, 5'3'' or there abouts,   should weigh no more than 135 pounds max.   This is the healthiest bracket for you.   A 10 year old child weighing 130 lbs. Is criminal, cut the junk and fast food immediately in that child or they'll have you to thank when they develop serious heart problems.   Join a gym and get your body moving or just walk, walk, walk.

Losing weight is a simple equation: If you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the daily calorie needs BMI calculator for men  This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.

Your bones cannot weigh 107lb alone, although what the doctor may have meant is that your "lean body mass" is 107lb, but that includes bones, muscle, tendons, vital organs, bodily fluids, waste, etc.

You also have to remember that as you lose body weight, your lean body mass tends to decrease as well. So if you currently weigh 197lb with 107lb of lean body mass (which is roughly 46% body fat), by the time you reach 160lb, your lean body mass may well be 100lb or less. So at 160lb, it's likely your body fat will still be too high, probably in the upper 30% range.

120lb-140lb may be a better goal. You just have to lose weight gradually to help retain as much lean body mass as possible and then perhaps use measurements, i.e. Waist circumference, to track your progress as well as weight. I recmonded you BMI Calculator  through this you get more results about Body Fat Percentage .

This is a question that only the lady can answer. At one time my weight was 396 . I am now 225 and feel great but doc says get to 165. I have not been at 165 since I was 12 so that is doubtful. At my current size which is from 58in waist to 38 in I no longer take insulin for diabetes and my blood pressure is coming into line. So get to where you feel good and comfy and to heck with all the hype

If you are 46 years old then your age will not help you to calculate weight because age is not used to calculate weight after 18 years of age. If you are woman with a height of five feet and three inches then your normal weight should be 120-128 pounds or 54.43-58.06 Kg.

Your age of 46 years has no role in the calculation of weight because after 18 years of age, only height and weight are taken in to consideration due to stoppage of growth. If you are female having a height of five feet and three inches then your average weight should be 54.43-58.06 Kg or 120-128 pounds.

Being overweight at this age can have serious impacts on health. To get normal weight, you should avoid fats, bakery foods, fast foods etc. Eat according to your daily routine activities because getting more than required calories at this age will increase you weight. Go for daily brisk walk to keep yourself fit.
