Yes, if you stop taking the 'pill' you will have a 'fake' period usually a couple of weeks or even days after, then you will have a period as you normally would, whether this be having 2 periods in 1 month.

I was wondering that myself because I started taking the pills for the first time in my life. I took the first 5 days and stopped because it make me feel sick. A few days later I had spotting which lasted for two days. My husband and I only had sex 1 time this month due to complications. Now my period is like 2 days late and I'm a little bit worried. My husband and I been together for almost 6 years and I never got pregnant. Could I be pregnant now or is it complications from the pill?

I thought I was pregnant so I stopped taking my birth control pills...and the next day I started bleeding. Am I not pregnant? Or is it due to the sudden stop of BC?

YES! I had to stop stop taking my BC pills because of problems I was having with them I had periods with in 3 weeks and it was not a "fake" period . My pills made it so I did not bleed everything out ... So it was a bunch of old blood you know the brown stuff you most of the time get at the end of that wonderful week . Anyway don't be freaked out but if you think something is wrong do what I did and talk to your DR. And if you don't have one call a nurse hot line they can be helpful.

I am having the same problems. I stopped my BC one week early and it has been 5 days and no "fake" period. Not sure what this means, but I am trying to find out.

Normally, taking of birth control pills for just one months will not suppress ovulation in the coming cycles. Because, in one month, hormonal levels can not accumulate to that extent which can cause suppression of ovulation or absence of periods. This is possible when these hormonal pills are used for longer duration.

Response of every lady against pills is different. In some ladies, one month use of pills can cause absence of ovulation or even cycle in the next month but not for many months.

I stopped taking the pill seven months ago and this month I had my period twice. I'm not pregnant. What could be wrong?

It all depends on your body. This was my first month coming off birth control in 7 years and my period was a week late. If you don't get it within a few weeks or you have any worries see your doctor.

You may miss up to six months. Due to your system is returning to its normal state. It also determines how long you were on the pills.

When you go off of birth control, you will start your cycle, and then it should be very close to your natural body cycles. If you have been off of them for a while then I would suggest you get a test done with your doctor. Hope this helps.
