Tubal ligation is one of the methods of contraception. This procedure has nothing to do with your periods. Your periods will continue after tubal ligation. Periods stop after hysterectomy. For periods, normal intact uterus, functional ovaries, normal pituitary gland, normal hormonal levels etc are necessary.

Fallopian tubes either clipped, cut or burned will not affect periods. Tubal ligation does not allow sperms to come near egg for fertilization without affecting uterus and periods.
