A peruvian girl got her period at the age of 3 and gave birth at the age of 5 years 7 months and 21 days via c-secion, and another woman didnt start getting her period untill the age of 25, but those were very abnormal cases and normally you should get your period between the ages of 9 and 15, otherwise your rather abnormal. O.o

Well by all these answers here it seems that every girl is different, and every girl is going to start sooner or later.obviously...if you have boobs, leg hair, pubic hair, underarm hair, and vaginal discharge, then your period shouldn't be far.

I am nearly 15 and still no sign. My sister started hers in year 9 and my mum never talks about so it makes me hard for me to ask. I am going into year 10 and I am worried all my friends have so I don't really know what to do. When should I go to the doctors?

Hey guys! I think I'd be in the abnormal category! I got my FIRST period when I was 19 years old!!
I'm 22 now and its still irregular and all over the place! :(  I got an ultrasound and testing done when I was 18 beacuse I was very concerned when it didnt come.
My mum got it when she was 18, so it was suggested to me by my docotor that is is genetic...
Might I add my mother and I are very small, lean girls. Body mass contributes to the time of your first menstrual cycle! :)

All my friends started around the age of 7-14 and I just turned 15 and still didnt have my period yet. But my mom didnt start till she was 16 so did my aunts on my dads side of the family. But I'm in a 32 B bra so I don't think boobs have anything to do with it.

Well usually it all depends on the mothers history. Usually a girl will star around the same time as her mother. I have never heard of anyone getting it before 10 or after 18.

You can actually get one as early as 5!!! But thats a little "unusual" it usually happens 6 months to a year after your breasts start developing

It depends on the girl, some get theirs when they are very very young then a couple of years later stop permanently. This means you wont be able to have children. Which sucks.oldest age is like.. 15 or 16 and thats somewhat late. is it possible to not get your period at all?

I was 15 when I started mine, it was May of Freshman year and I had begin to think there was something wrong with me, it drove me crazy, but eventually it happened when I was least expecting it and I like to think since I was a late bloomer Ill be the last one to ripen and start aging later...; )

I would say it may be some what different from each girl. But would say around 10 for the earliest and around 14 for some. My sister started hers later then I did. So this is my answer but it could be different for each girl still.

I'm 14 years old, and I still haven't got it, My mom got it when she was 12. My mom says that I'm a late bloomer because my dad was also a late bloomer. My dad didn't hit puberty until about 15. So it is possible to have your period according to when your dad hit puberty. (which is weird btw) I wear a 32 C So IDK what's gonna happen. I don't stress about it because it's great not having a period. Many young girls are excited to get theirs, but they don't know what is coming to them! I think the youngest is about 7 and the oldest to get a period is 15. Hope this helps ;)
