Eating too little fat can be almost as detrimental to the body as too much fat. Thus it’s important to have a target.
Consuming too much saturated fat may not only cause weight gain, but may also have a negative effect on your arteries. Saturated fat consumption boosts "bad" cholesterol, which in turn creates plaque build-up in arteries.
Some of the most common heart diseases are located in coronary arteries and veins. These include angina, atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease, and the interruption of blood flow to the heart through a coronary artery which results in heart attack.

Fat that is high in cholesterol will clog your arteries. These are also referred to as trans fats, or saturated fat. This is generally from animal fat, and dairy products, but there are a few vegetables that are high in saturated fats too, like coconut, coconut oil, and palm oil.
There are also unsaturated fats that contain no cholesterol and are not known to cause any problems with arteries. These fats come from vegetables.
If you are worried about your cholesterol levels, there are lots of natural way to bring your cholesterol levels down.
