Finger nails tend to grow faster than toenails, but on average it take around six months for nail to grow fully from the base to the tip. In a survey carried out by the internet provider Tiscali, 19% of people cut their toenails with scissors; 52% used nail clippers; 19% ripped the nail off and 4.7% chewed them off (yuck!) A healthy toenail takes almost a year to grow out completely and a finger nail takes around six months.
Nails also grow faster during the summer than the winter and the nails on the hand you use the most tend to grow quicker than on your less dominant hand, so if you are right handed, the nails on your right hand will grow faster than those on your left. In-growing toenails are a common problem and are usually the result of wearing tight-fitting shoes or incorrect clipping. Also, for some reason unknown, men's nails grow faster than women's.

I say, "It takes about 3-4 weeks depending on your desired length. But you can't bite them, and pushing back your skin on top, and/or tapping them on various of things helps speed up the process. Good luck and hope my advice helps!

Id say about a month for them 2 be long, but three weeks cna have em medium. Soak them in
salt water, tap them around a lot( try typing at a computer v. Fast), buff them to improve circulation, and wear a clear coat of varnish.

I don't know how long it take my nails to grow but I figured out that in about 2 week if you don't bite them, keep drumming or tapping with them on something, and puch the cuticle and skin in front of your nail back, they get a little longer and if you tap on your desk or watevr then you can hear your nails and not your fingers hitting it. :) hope I helped:)(:

It really depends on the person and how quickly the body is able to make keratin. My nail came off completely and only took 2 months to come back!  I also took a pill called biotin which aids in the growth of hair, and nails! Great investment

A flaw appeared at the half moon line of my thumb nail.
I watched as that flaw slowly moved towards the tip of the thumb nail.
It took from July, when the flaw appeared at the base, to February when it at last disappeared off the tip:  7 months!

My finger nails barely grow... I bite on them when I get bored. Which, is a lot. So, its very hard to keep my finger nails. But, Sometimes if I go two weeks without biting them then they are usually about medium length. I would think maybe a month without biting them will probably be a pretty good size finger nail for me. But, Make sure you use finger nail clippers every once in a while so you don't get hang nails & stuff. Well I hope it helped... :)

The average person's nails grow about 3 milimeters per month.  That's for both finger and toe nails.  It takes 3 to 6 months for finger nails to regrow completely and 12 to 18 months for toe nails.  There are individual factors that influence the growth rate of our nail, such as age, season, gender, diet, exercise level and hereditary factors.

My 12-year old boy hurt his finger.  We took him to the hospital.  The finger-nail is almost off.  The doctor did not remove it, but I feel he should have.  How long will it take for the would to heal and how long will it take for the finger nail to grow again because even if the doctor did not remove it, it is still going to fall off.  Is it wise to leave the wound un-covered or we shoud keep it covered until it is healed?
