How Long Do You Spend In Hospital After Getting Your Appendix Removed?

It will take 6 weeks if they have to go in surgically through the abdomen. If they do it by laser maybe 3-4 weeks. You need to know you are having major surgery to have both removed at the same time especially if it is done surgically. With laser you will be real sore during that time and the recovery is not as hard. When you have it done surgically they have to really open you up to get to both areas. Good Luck!

This will depend on how much you rest and the type of care you receive. My sister took about 1 week. But then again, her appendix did not burst in her body. If you have family or friends to visit, maybe request a good meal as eating right helps in recovery

Sometime ago it took my Sister 4 weeks plus but that was about a six inch gash in the side of her stomach surgery has gotten more modern and they don't have to make such a gash it is hardly noticeable now but you still have to be careful with lifting etc, but I still say about 4 weeks because you can be over active ans cause internal damage...the best to you

Went in wednesday at lunch got tested got them removed at 4pm took 45mins got to go home 10 am thursday the next day
