This is a collection of fluid in the kidney,  and is generally a benign occurance.

This can be related to high blood pressure or diabetes.

I am a 44 yr old female, I have MRKH.. I was just told I have a 5.1 x 4.1 cm cyst on the lower pole of my left kidney.. I was only born with the left kidney. How serious is this for me? Should I be worried. I have read the only way to be 100% sure it is benign is to have it removed, ultra sounds and CT can miss.
