Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, and being able to recognize these is something that can really help you in life.

It’s easy to judge other people, but knowing what you’re good and bad at can be quite tricky sometimes.

I’m in my forties, and over the years I’ve found that some of my weaknesses aren’t actually weaknesses at all!

I’m quite a loud, chatty person – this always got me in trouble at school, as I’d usually be gossiping with my mates instead of listening in class.

However, I ran a transport café in my thirties, and being loud and chatty came in really handy – if I was quiet and antisocial, I’d never have been able to deal with all the truck drivers that came in every day. Some of them could be a total pain (really grumpy, too)!

I know I’ve never been that good at intellectual stuff – I don’t like books and I can’t be doing with subtitles on foreign films – but I like to think I’m a loyal friend and a good mother.  I’m also good at talking to groups of people and organizing things, so those are definitely strengths!
