The hospital will contact Child Services and they will visit you in the hospital. CPS will interview you and decide what they want to do. Normally they will not take your baby away but will visit you once a week and do random drug tests. Visits & testing will continue until they see fit to close the case. Happened to my friend. Her system was clean but they tested the placenta which was positive for opiates.
You said you would find out on Monday, which was posted about a month ago, I was wondering what happened? Did your baby get taken from you? The reason I ask, is only because I am 36 weeks pregnant right now, and I smoked weed off and on throughout my pregnancy up to about a week ago. I am not too sure how long it takes to get THC out of your system, but I was told that my baby will be tested for drugs when born. How long will it take for the THC to leave my body as well as my unborn daughter's?
This is all bs!
If you wish to help your baby and be a part of it's life, they probably will not take it.
Your stupid none of this is true you probly can't have kids thats why your making others feel bad
YES,YES,YES any thing in a babys system will cause DCS to be called by the hospital,But they got to have a reson to check the baby for that. (DCS) Department of children services
First off why would you be smoking marijuana when your pregnant? I know in arizona if a baby tests positive for any drugs the baby is taken and I believe that should be a law in every state, and also Tracy is correct, my friend thought the same thing you do, that it doesnt harm the baby, well her son was born with the inability to use his arms correctly and it was linked back to her use of marijuana.
Your poor baby may go through severe, cruel witdrawls, may end up with learning disabilities, as well as deformities, and may be taken away from you to give it a better, loving, caring home!
