I agree with jessMW!! He is 12!!! I don't care if he has reached puberty or not!! He is WAY too young to even be thinking about sex!! Mam, you seriously need to sit down and TELL, not discuss or just talk about, your CHILD he isn't allowed to have anything to do with sex. And just where is he having sex...in home room?!?! On the playground!? Don't allow him to ruin his child hood...he will have the rest of his life to be an adult, he need to be the child that he is! Does your family go to church, have you prayed about this? Honestly, I think it would be a good idea to find a nice church and get your family involved in living a christian life:) please help your family by being a good parent and taking control over you son! I am 20 yrs old and just got married a few months ago...its hard enough dealing with sex and relationships as an adult, he can not handle that as a child.
It is not the matter of age, it is the matter of puberty. The age of Puberty depends upon the genetical factors and the environmental conditions. In warm countries like Africa and Southeast Asia, the puberty age of boy is 13-14 years and in extremely cold environment it can be 15-17 years. So if your son has achieved puberty (If his voice has changed from high pitch to low pitch), then he can make a girl pregnant.
You should talk to your son about this!!! He is 12!!! He should not be having sex, what are you asking this question for on here when you should be asking your son about this. You need to talk to your son about (oh, and yes, if he has reached puberty he can get a girl pregnant!) this!!! You are the parent and your son is the child or have you forgot that??? If he is having sex at that age then stop it. You are responsible for your son's behavior (I'm 14 and know that but apparently you don't!).
Well this is not the case, a boy get adulthood in the age of 14 so if he cannot make a girl pregnant at the age of 12 because at this age his hormones are not grown fully.
To be fertile (and impregnate a girl he is having unprotected sex with), a boy need only pass 'spermarche', which is the time when his testes begin to produce sperm. The completion of puberty is not necessary. This change usually occurs when secondary sexual characteristics are just beginning to develop. This can occur as young as 10 or 11 years of age. (And taking 'precocious puberty into consideration, quite possible before even these ages)
If he is already experiencing ejaculation with orgasm (fluids are actually being excreted), there is a pretty good chance he is already past spermarche. If you wanted to prove it to him, you can talk to your local fertility clinic or Planned Parenthood, and see if they can arrange a sperm count. This can often be done even with just a urine specimen, but they would let you know about what samples would be needed.
Otherwise, I have to agree with the other responders and say that he is NOT ready for the emotional side of sexual relationships. As well, you should be concerned about who he is having sex WITH. I'm sure those girls' parents would not be pleased to learn of their early sexual activity... Please, find a qualified counselor and take him to see them. It's better to try to break him of this now, than have him have to deal with the responsibility of being a new teen, AND a new father...
It could be any age really well along as both sexest have both reached puberity. After they have both it pubirty its a fair game to get a girl pregnant, But with that being said In my opion kids should not be having intercourse until they no what can happen. If you are rsponibile to have sex. Your responibily to have a child. But that is my opion.
