Two ways
1: Moderate use of methamphetamine and a moderate exercise routine (generally frowned upon, also illegal)
2: Moderation.
However, some additional tips/tricks I've learned along the way are:
Nothing but veggies after appx 6 pm (assuming you're a 9-5 er)
If you are NOT exercising or doing the bare minimum-NO carbs after 2 pm at least 5 days of the week.
LOWfat= better than NOfat
Low sodium/low carbs for the short term (as in your case)// Low fat/low sugar for the long term.
No one likes hearing this one: High fructose corn syrup... Metabolized and recognized by the human body exactly the same as pure cane sugar. Save some $ and remind yourself of moderation.
Dip your fork in the bowl of dressing, THEN get your salad bite. Don't pour it all over salad- this costs you almost 3x the calories
People may (well, WILL) look at you funny, but I promise- a burger/sandwich tastes the same with just ONE piece of bread!
