I took adderall and my lazy eye came back...is this permanent?

I think you should be calling your Doctor for an Appt. Perhaps he'll give you something else that works for you! Won't hurt to talk to him about that.

Adderall is a combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, and is used to treat narcolepsy and attention deficit disorder. Lazy eye is a visual disorder where the brain ignores the input from one eye, causing it to lose focus. It's interesting that Adderall use has triggered your lazy eye to come back though...

Lazy eye and Adderall

Lazy eye is commonly reported in people with depression, chronic pain and depression, but there does not seem to be a link between lazy eyes and exposure to Adderall.

One study carried out in November 2014 reported that of 11,190 people who suffered side effects when taking Adderall, only 4 reported suffering from a lazy eye.

That's not to say that this is not the case for you. If you think any medication you are taking is having adverse effects you should consult your doctor. It may not be a big deal, but equally there may be an alternative medicine which works just as well but doesn't have any ill effects.
