If you are sweating a lot, and you
feel it is excessive compared to other people you may be suffering
from Hyperhidrosis which is basically excessive sweating and it can
affect feet and palms also. It is very common if not very annoying.
More information on what it is can be found here:

Although this can be very embarrassing
for you there are steps you can take to help combat it. Armour is an option, but try to treat it first with these ideas:

Ensure that you wash the affected area
twice a day, it may not reduce the sweating but it will reduce any
aromas.

If you don't want to seek medical help, try
an over the counter deodorant such as Perspirex or Driclor which are
designed as an overnight preventative treatment for excessive
sweating.

These can be bought at most high street Chemists. Many
people report a huge reduction in sweat after using these when the
instructions are followed correctly.

If such treatments do not work for you,
you may want to seek medical help. It is likely that a doctor will
refer you to see a dermatologist who will offer you some different
treatments.

One thing that is very commonly used in treatment of
excessive underarm sweating is Botox. And it has been found to be
very beneficial where treatment deodorants failed.

Finally, if you want something to help
prevent the embarrassment of sweating onto clothes immediately,
before such treatments take hold,  you can purchase sweat guards for
the under arm area.

They fit inside clothing and are designed to
prevent the sweat going onto your clothes. So no more dark clothes
for you!

Most of all relax, if you stress about
sweating before even getting out of the door you will make matters so
much worse, if you try these things it should improve! Good luck!

If it is excessive, he may have a medical condition which he can seek medical help for. He never stated whether it was just after playing sport, if that is the case then yes, he may just need a stronger deodorant such as Perspirex and this should hopefully help him!
If that doesn't then all hope is not lost because he can see the doctor for further help :-)
