Yes, what you need to want to be is be healthy and strong.  People have different body types and just because someone is skinny does not mean they are healthy are better than anyone else.  Aspire to be healthy, eat good healthy food and exercise.  Now, many nuritionists and sports trainers do believe that BMI and Height and Weight is invalid.  Do not hurt you body for anything.  I am skinny but I have alot of body fat and I find it hard to get toned and its not pleasant as people including doctors always question my build.

Eating lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and eating well is better.  You would be doing your body damage and lasting damage at that.  And staving yourself makes you weak and it makes your hair fall out.  Also, anorexia is not only a phsyical thing but more of a pyschological illness where they see that they are fat when they are not.  Why want a pychological illness that damages your health?  Eat healthy food, exercise - Aspire to be healthy and active.

Yes, that is not only bad, it's terrible. Your body requires nutrition to survive. If nutrition is withheld as in anorexia, you force your body into a survival mode. Your hormone levels fluctuate drastically, your kidneys are affected causing increases and or decreases of urination and potentially FATAL low potassium levels.

In your digestive tract, constipation and abdominal pain are common, after a period of no use, your digestive system will quit functioning altogether, your body will cease to absorb any nutrients, even if you'd begin eating again and want to gain weight, your body will not be able to process nutrients properly. I am a nurse and have seen young people die from this, this type of death is suffering.

I've worked with anorexic patients for decades and they all report living a truly miserable life that only focuses on 1 thing: Weight. It has hardest rehab potential. If your drive is to be skinny; you will end up looking 100 x worse! You may be skinny but you will also have severe hair thinning, teeth rotting and falling out; and you will be so obsessed with weight and intake that you will forfeit all relationships so it won't matter.

Final risk is an early 100% preventable death. Does all this sound great for the cost of being thinner? Just do it the healthy way; it's quite simple intake caloric amount must be less than calories burned.

Wanting to be anorexic is certainly an unhealthy goal to set for yourself. The problem is that there are many drawbacks and virtually nothing to gain.

Looking starved, undernourished and devoid of life is not something that is easy to look at, so seeking to embody this will not improve your appearance, but only serve to do the opposite.

Secondly, people don't usually 'want' to be anorexic, since anorexia is as much a mental disorder as it is an eating disorder.

Usually, sufferers want to be skinny, and they set extreme goals for themselves, eventually developing body dysmorphia and still perceiving themselves as fat, hence why they continue to travel down that road. Wanting to develop a mental condition that essentially risks your life is not ideal.

It is perfectly fine to want to be slim so long as you do it the healthy way. This can be achieved through the right level of diet and exercise. This way, you can achieve your body goals whilst still looking and feeling healthy, and that is when you will look and be your best.

If you still wish to be anorexic, it is strongly advised that you seek professional help.

I hope this helps.

Sometimes I feel that way. I'm playing soccer though, and am very passionate about being in top shape for that. So I wouldnt become anorexic anytime soon. Anorexia is a real mental illness though. The movie "Starving in Suburbia" does a good job on explaining how you get it. You have to want to be skinnier and think that you aren't skinny enough to be diagnosed. If you're just undernourished then you arent necessarily anorexic. At times I have wished I was anorexic, because of the attention I would finally get from my family. Alternatively I've wished to be anorexic to hurt them. Also even though I'm against being anorexic, I can't help but be jealous of the self control anorexic people have. I know that they're too skinny, but I still get jealous of it. I feel I'm on the right path now. People who have helped me on the Internet are orionspeaks and freelee the banana girl.

anorexic people's hair starts falling out

Alternatively they grow fuzz

They're always cold

And they're always thinking about food

It's no fun, it's painful,

eat healthfully, don't starve yourself

There is nothing anorexia can offer you that you can't find elsewhere.
