Yes, of course! But unfortunately, modern technology and medicine can only do so much! ): Sometimes we get lucky and a cure for something is found. Other times, the most we can do is treatment, and that's occasionally as close as we get... We don't even have a cure for the common cold!
Don't forget we have already come a very, very long way from even just a couple decades ago. Hopefully, in a few years time, we will start to see even more advancement in this area. :D

The world is doing very well about cures, so many illnesses that would kill or heavily harm a human being have been covered through decades till today that so many diseases are even forgotten!

However every scientific and doctor is asking the same question everyday, that's how progress, discovering, building, creating and reaching new milestones occurs!

So be sure there always will be more.

That'd be nice. They should pass  legislation making illness illegal.

Of course we're doing pretty well already. What did you have in mind?

Most health problems are easily avoidable. Sadly there's no cure for laziness.

Exercise, eat less, and don't smoke. That's all there is to it!

All diseases related to obesity has been top killers for ages now. Heart disease and diabetes.  You figure that would cause people to rethink their second helping of mashed potatoes and gravy or deciding to go outside for a walk.

Absolutely Yes.

Unfortunately drug companies are GREEDY, GREEDY and super GREEDY.

Cures mean less money for drug companies.

Omg so people are suffering and dying because companies need to sell harmful drugs!

May, there's a part of me that believes that a cure for cancer has been found, however, as Jan has shared - there's more money to be made in administering drugs than there would be in curing the disease. If you cured it, then the money train dries up.
