I just had surgery and I woke up the next day to hear that everything sounds as if it is in a different pitch than normal what is this?

I am no doctor but I wanted to bring forth your question in case someone in the medical field knows the answer. My uneducated guess would be maybe an effect from the anesthesia? You could call the office/hospital where you had the procedure.
