You always want to return your fingers to the home keys for each hand. Left hand is asdf and right hand are jkl; once you learn where all the keys are it is pretty easy!
Finger Positions
Your fingers have designated letters both on the left and the right hands, except
your thumb. There are called the home keys. Either of your thumbs can be
used for the space bar.
We may now call your left fingers: A finger for the little finger; S finger for the ring finger; D finger for the middle finger; and F finger for the index finger.
We may call our right fingers: J finger for the index finger; K finger for the middle finger; L finger for the ring finger; andSem (semicolon) finger for the little finger.
