The body cannot digest hair, therefore, it will likely get stuck in your throat and cause you to cough continuously. The body then begins to produce mucus to try and fight off the foreign object. The hair will eventually have to be thrown up to get rid of the irritation and mucus in the throat and the cough.
I don't know, I think you just digest it then it turns into waste or your body gets rid of it like it does of dust, pathogens, or other foreign materials.
