Its nothing to worry about so don't worry yourself. My mom had her period when she was 16.Everyone is different. But if you really are worried and think something might be wrong ask your mom if you can see a gynecologist which is a doctor who specializes on these kinds of things.I'm 14 and Ive been to a gynecologist because my period wasn't coming on time but it turns out that's just how it is when you've only started having your period.Remember everyone's different so don't get worked up.

Hey there sweetie, oh my god I wish I were you! I'm 16 and I started at 10 years old, it was so embarrassing for p.e and all that. I got really bad stomach cramps and had heavy flows every second month. I first got it when we started sex ed. In school and didn't want to tell my mom at first, so I told my brothers girlfriend (after she caught me nicking pads from their room). She told me all about it and said that I had nothing to worry about. I asked her when she started and guess what... She only started at 17 (almost 18) so you have nothing to worry about.

I havent started my period either, and I'm worried too. But when I went to the doctors they said when I'm 16 if I still havent started there still do tests and stuff. I'm trying not to worry...but it is horrible, I know exactly how your feeling. All my friends have started too. If you havent started by 16 then see a doctor. Its what I'm doing. :) x

I'm fifteen also and I'm the same as you. Like I have discharge and everything I just don't have my period yet.. All of my sisters say that they started about 9th grade. They also said that most of it is weight determined so that makes me feel better since I'm only 95 pounds. Hope this helps!!!

I am also 15 and never had my period. I am only 98 pounds and everyone is saying that weight determines it.  I'm pretty scared because I want to have kids in the future :( But my mom tells me not to worry about it she says, "your time will come."

If your body is not ready to be a woman yet, be thankful don't rush into becoming a woman. There is nothing wrong with you, you are just a late bloomer. It will come some day and when it does you will wish for it to go away!!LOL

Same as the most of you. 15 and nothing. (105 lb)   :(   Well it doesn't sound like we are all doomed, although it is really hard not to worry.  For now, just  be happy. "Everything comes naturally."

You have nothing to worry about.. (: You might get it in a few years. If you don't get it by the time your 18, then it might be best for you to see a doctor. But I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.. Lol (: Good luck! (:

I'm fifteen and a half too. I cried over this many times. I still havent started. I'm really scared and my mom told me to wait till I'm 16... I only weigh like 97 lbs tho... So I heard it was mostly weight based. So thats good. But it still makes me sad at the thought of never being able to have kids

I wouldn't worry about it- some girls are just late in starting. Ask anyone who has started and they'll tell you it's not a big deal and they wish they got their's later :) By the time you're 16 and your periods still haven't come, go ahead to the doctor- they'll sort it out. Even in the rare scenario that you can't have kids in the future try not to stress about it as it's a long way away, you never know what you'll want in the future. You can always adopt etc anyway. So don't worry, it'll all be ok :D

I am exactly the same!! I weigh only 98lbs so I'm hoping this is why. I'm also a full time gymnast so would this be the reason why I haven't had my period yet?

You should probably go to a gynecologist for sure once your 16. If it hasn't started by age 16 something is seriously wrong. It may be scary going to a gynecologist but when I hadn't started at age 16, I was thankful I had gone.
P.S. It really wasn't that scary! Have a nurse too. Especially if you have a guy like I did!

I'm 16 and My last period was 11 months ago before I would go about 3-5 months without one. I've talked to my Mother who didnt have a period until she was 18 but it was regular. I was born with a hernia which one of my ovaries was stuck through. Could this effect it? If not what is the problem?

You might have a hormonal problem thats too old not to start. Go to the Dr. You might have a problem with your tubes overies or even a blockage. If you ever feel there is something wrong with anything about your body ask question see a Dr. Just making sure and knowing is better then not knowing and letting things get so bad you can fix it!!!! You know your body better than anyone!

Its ok people get it early and people get it late if you get realy worried talk to your doctor nurse or mom. Just don't get realy freaked I didnt get mine either and I'm cool. If your friends got it its ok. It dosent matter if your diffrent but if your friends are judging you than hang out with other people. Don't worry people are your age and didnt get it either.

It is NOT NORMAL. Go to a doctor and see what is holding the process up. Children should be having their menstruation before 13  years of age and you have to check and see if there is a problem with you. The shedding of the lining has to come out of you . That's what menstruation is. So you need to go to a doctor.
