Why Can't You Move Your Ring Finger Without Moving Your Pinky Finger?

Nerves, no. I think there is a tendon that is attached just below the ring finger and it is tight enough that if moved, the other finger will move as well.

That's weird. I didn't notice before, but on my right hand, the pinky and ring finger move together. But on my left hand, my pinky can move on its own. Very strange.

I don't think it is the nerves but It might be something like that, but I can move my ringfinger as well as my pinky. I just can't move my pinky without moving my ring finger. As fdjones said thery are connected to the same tendon I think, but I'm not sure-Trey

I'm able to move it without moving my other fingers,  I think its nerves or just the ability to focus and move on spot on your body

My pinky and middle finger both struggle if my ring finger tries to move alone. Yet, both my middle and pinky fingers can move around freely without the ring finger.

I can move my ring finger without moving my pinky but I can't move my pinkie without moving my ring finger what the heck? Weird
