Periods does not cause hair loss. The reasons of hair loss in women can be due to increase androgen production or over sensitivity of the receptors of androgens on sebaceous glands. In you case, it seems to be your anemic condition which causes hair loss. The blood carries useful ingredients to the hairs needed for hair growth. As you are anemic, this can cause hair loss.

I never heard periods can cause hair loss. In my case, I never got my hair thinned or loss when i was in period. Hair loss caused by genetics, stress, improper diet. Decrease stress in your life, eat a good diet full of healthy protein and get yourself a good healthy hair supplement.
