How Often Should A Baby Poo?

My baby is 9wks old, he was only on breast until he was six weeks but then I introduced a bottle of formula per day and he poos slowed right down, he went 3 days without poohinh then4, then 5, and then 7!! The doctor said to give him a little water and then if that didnt work a little fresh orange juice diluted in water, that work and he went, but then he didnt go again for 4 days, I'm am contimplating taking him back to the docs and maybe taking him back off the formula and returning to exclusive breastfeeding

Breast feed babies slow down their poops after six weeks. And mothers should remember that if the baby is ONLY breastfed, breast milk is 100% usable and so don't be alarmed if your baby doesn't poop every day.
