I had 2 c- sections (2 kids too- so I never had a 'normal' delivery)  I had absolutely no problems what so ever, they used epidurals on me so I was awake for both.  I got to see my babies shortly after birth.  My kids were large 9 1/2 lbs and 10 lbs so I had to have a c section.  My first CS was an emergency and my 2nd CS was my choice.  I always thought a clean nice incision heals better than a jagged tear and episiotomy.  But this is a decision between you , your husband (he can be there) and esp your doctor.  See what is best for your situation.  GOd Bless.

I am a medical assistant.  I have heard natural birth is the best and more safer.  That is why the doctors don't give you a choice if they don't have too.  When you have a c-section you are under more medication and it is harder and takes longer to recover.  Also, you can't have as many more children after as you might like to have.  That is what the doctors say.  I personally have never had a c-section.  If you have to have one you will be ok, but natural birth is better.  Even if you have an epidural.  Which I always need.  I hate pain.  Good luck and take care.

I have had three c sections and didn't know the risks involved. C sections are used more often that they were years ago. The risk of infection is greater, it also deadens the muscles in the stomach some which makes its harder to tone it and its harder to loose weight. It takes a lot longer to recover after c section but if you have to do it for the risk of complication then you should . I have no regrets two of my c sections were because of ambilical cords were around the neck so I'm just happy that it had a happy ending. You should get as much information on it as you can in case you have to have one.

Having a c section is more for emergencies mostly. I had a emergency c section with my first then a repeat with my second. I will say it is dreadful and unless it is an emergency I would suggest doing a vaginal birth.

Well with any surgery there can be complications and same with Natural Birth.
C-section, depending on the situation is normally safer because it's easier for doctors to monitor what is happening and if there was a problem they are already in the O.R but Natural births are a great idea if you can do it.
I am a neo-natal surgeon, So I've probably perfomed hundreds of C-sections over my career. I've also had two children but I gave birth naturally.
