Yes, my penis is 2.50" across.
To the guest above with the 1.25 dorsal vein above. Do you have any other large veins on your penis, or any other place?
Ah, I am not a man but I do not believe that it will impact his fertility.
This sounds like a normal penis to me. Without the veins there would be no blood flow, and without blood flow you have a "LIMP WEENIE', to use a polite term.
The vein is normal and I don't find it gross looking at all really. As Debossman says, it's needed to keep the penis functional.
A penis has veins, arteries and capillaries in it just like an arm or finger. There needs to be blood flow through the penis for the tissues to survive. Also, when a penis becomes erect, its because of a reservoir of blood that collects and stays there while sexually aroused. Without those "gross" veins, the penis will be useless. Look at your husband's arms... Are the veins prominent there too? Lots of men have large veins everywhere on their bodies, especially if they are athletic and in shape. If you're not getting pregnant there has to be some other problem. Have yourself examined by a fertility specialist to rule out that the problem isn't with your reproductive system. If everything checks out then get him to go to the doctor to see what the problem is. Most men don't want to know if they have a problem with conception as they feel that they are not as much of a man that they should be. We all know that's not true...it takes a bigger man to admit they have a problem and go fix it than it does for one to ignore the problem... In the mean time... Buy him lots of nice boxers and get rid of the tighty whities as they DO contribute to infertility in males.
It's the dorsal vein and 100%normal..I also have it and fathered 5kids 4 of which are twins..you don't see it in every man because we are all different..just the same as the way some women have pink nipples and some have brown..simple
Veins on the penis are perfectly normal, and are more dominant appearing if the penis is not erect. If it is on the top of the penis, it is called a dorsal vein, if on the side, a lateral vein, and if on the bottom, it is called a ventral vein. Arteries pump blood into the penis to make it erect, and veins drain blood from the penis to allow it to become flaccid again. If the vein is universally large, it's probably not a problem, but if it's only large in one area, and you can feel a "buzzing" sensation when you touch it, it could be a varicocele, or a nest of abnormally tangled veins. This could be a problem. Your husband really should see a doctor to see if the issue is the varicocele, because it is easily corrected, and could be causing your problems. Sorry, I'm not a man....just a vascular specialist.
The vein is completely normal and it's not uncommon. If he can't get you pregnant and you've been trying to get pregnant that may be a reason to see a local gynecologist. It may not be him with the problem, remember, a male and a female make a baby. It could be either of your faults. If it's his problem, there are ways they can take his semen and put it into you, hopefully making a baby. There are medical procedures that can get you pregnant with his semen, but most are fairly expensive.
No, its not the vein.
You have a vein on your penis that is 1.25" across? That's as wide as many men's entire penis. Are you sure you measured correctly?
