Well a balanced diet is one in which appropriate and adequate amount of food and drinks are taken, so that they will supply nutrition and energy to the body. This energy is also required for the maintenance of our body cells, tissues and organ and for growth and development of the body.

Carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins, mineral salts and fiber are what makes a balanced diet must contain. These things should be present in appropriate proportions. This tells that balanced diet takes into consideration a diet that meets ones nutritional needs and on the same side not providing any excess nutrients.

On the other hand an unbalanced diet can cause problems with maintenance of body tissues, growth and development, brain and nervous system function, as well as problems with bone and muscle systems.

A balanced diet is one which contains all of the nutrients(carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals). When these components are in proper proportions according to the requirements of the body, it becomes a nutritionally balanced diet. It satisfies a persons nutritional requirements and contributes to a person overall fitness. Milk is nature's perfect food for babies. It is well balanced in fats, protein and carbohydrates, and is rich in vitamin A and vitamin D. though somehow low in iron and vitamin C, mother's milk is the best for babies. Mother milk also contains such useful substances as antibodies which protect the infant from infection diseases.

Mother's milk is usually free from harmful organisms(unless mother is suffering from a disease which may be transmitted through her milk)
The food which we take is digested and the simple, molecules are absorbed in cells where the molecules are used for release of energy by oxidation. The energy released during this process is measured in calories or joules.
Some guidelines to keep balanced diet are:
1)we should avoid too much fats.
2)we should avoid starchy foods as a source of glucose.
3)we should avoid too much sugar.
4) We should eat well balaced diet.

For nearly all of us, attaining balance in life is very important. To keep your body healthy, strong and in shape you need to have a balanced healthy diet. This mostly depends on what type of food you eat, when do you eat it and how much do your eat.

A balanced diet usually has different meaning for different people, but the fundamental aspects of a balanced diet are eating well, consuming different varieties of food in moderate quantities. Maintaining a healthy diet usually is the practice of making choices about what you want to eat with the intention of improving or maintaining good health.

Normally this involves eating essential nutrients by consuming the suitable amounts from of all the food groups. Seeing that the human nutrition is a multifarious a healthy diet may differ extensively subject to a person's genetic makeup.

A balanced diet is one that contains the right nutrients in the right quantities.

The only thing is this is highly subjective as there are many people who live healthy lives with very different diets.

Some live with diets where they don't eat any grains or processed foods (Paleo)

Others live on diets of only meat and veggies...

Also, you have to consider if you're actively lifting weights as that would alter the ratio of protein to carbs to fats you would want to take in.

But generally, a good diet is going to consist of mainly vegetables, fruits, lean meats, nuts and some grains.

One where you're eating at or around your maintenance caloric level, the amount of calories your body needs to maintain it's current weight (provided you're in a healthy weight range)...this is: Bodyweight in lbs x 15.

A healthy diet is a diet that helps in maintaining or improving overall health.

A healthy diet provides to the body with essential nutritional fluid, adequate essential amino acids from protein essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and adequate calories. The requirements for a healthy diet can be met from a variety of plant-based and animal-based foods. A healthy diet supports energy needs and provides for human nutrition without exposure to toxicity or excessive weight gain from consuming excessive amounts. Where lack of calories is not an issue, a properly balanced diet is also thought to be important for lowering health risks, such as obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension and cancer.
