Depending on the type of blood thinner, they should have told you if there was a restriction. But say like if you are on warfarin, you are allowed to eat whatever you want, they will work your dosing around what you eat on a regular basis. Vitamin K is what acts with blood to make it clot. You find this in a large variety of vegetables, and mayonnaise. But, it really takes a lot to make it interact with the warfarin. You should be o.k. To eat a few salads and a sandwich a week if the INR/PT levels are checked often. Hope this helps, good luck to you.
