Being someone who suffers from bulimia and anorexia, I believe I can answer your question. I have torn open my throat many many times, often resulting in raw spots and scabs in my esophagus. Eventually the acid from the bile in your stomach will eat through the mucus membrane in your throat and cause ulcers and even cancer. I apologize for the rather gruesome explanation, but since ive experienced it firsthand, I like to be helpful to the best of my abilities.
