I have an ovarian cyst, a history of two cancers, one was cervical, and my OB says small cysts are normal and she isn't concerned.  They were spotted on MRI for a different health problem, but no one seems worried, and I've had two pap exams since.  Unless you are having specific problems, I wouldn't worry about surgery.  Second opinions can ease your worry, because it is always in the back of my mind, but I feel okay about mine.

Lots of women have cysts on there ovarys I had them lots of little ones on each side then when I had my son through a c-section my doctor said they had gone yet they were there before on an internal scanner unless you are in pain/discomfort I think surgery is a last choice but its also your choice if you are not happy have a chat next time with youe ob take care

Thanks for your answer, but I am in pain and discomfort. I have talked to my obgyn and have read up on this matter, and they said a cyst over 2cm is not good if your in pain. I just want it taken out and fix my other problems I am having since March.
