Shabu is the Japanese name for methamphetamine, or as it is more commonly known, crystal meth. How long it stays in the human body is dependent upon how often the user takes the drug.

If the methamphetamine is taken once or very rarely, the drug will usually take anywhere between 2 - 5 days to leave the body.

If the person using the drug is a heavy user, it can take up to 10 days due to the levels of methamphetamine already present in the body.

Dangers of using shabu (methamphetamine)

This is a highly addictive drug, it's use is very rarely just recreational and many users become dependent upon it, with very negative effects upon the user, both physically and mentally.

Adverse side effects of long term use

Side effects of using this drug can include, but aren't limited to:

  • Hallucinations
  • Loss of appetite and lack of interest in basic human functions such as sleep and talking, leading to weight loss and paranoia
  • Stroke
  • Paranoia
It is extremely difficult to detox from this drug in particular and it is strongly advised to refrain from taking it, even for recreational use.
