Yes color effects memory because bright colors draw more attention. For example have you ever seen a painting that has bright and dull colors, which colors do you pay more attention to. Your mind/brain has different segments per say. And they all have to work together so seeing a bright color  makes you want to look more then a dull color

Well I'm doing the exact same project and the color of text does affect a person's memory. Thats why commercials arent in black and white anymore. The people who commercials the commercials conducted an experiment and it turns out that people will remember the commercials more if the commercial was in color..so the color of text does affect a persons memory

Yes color changes/effects memory.
Some of them depresses us & thus weakens our thinking power, some of them vitalizes our mind'n'soul & makes our thinking efficient too.
But different may perceive one color in different way e.g., one may find red depressing & sign of danger but another one may find it color of love.

I disagree, I think black and white print is easier to remember. Seeing as most people read books in black and white, it would make sense that reading in black and white would be easier to remember. Also, color can also be harder to read sometimes. Especially if the color is a yellow. I've already tested my class, and the scores came out recently and I calculated the scores and black one. I too thought color would be easier to remember. For your hypothesis, you should usually be wrong because science is usually hard to predict its outcome. Good luck mate. :)
