Pilates is wonderful exercise for abs. Running will be best for your legs. Squats as well as lunges will shape the actual outer thigh. I did this particular and with a combination of a weight loss plan, I lost 30 pounds, and started to tone up quick!

Personally I am not a huge fan of the gym, or doing structured exercises like squats and sit ups, so I like to try and find sports and activities in my every day life that will help to tone my abs and thighs.

Thighs are quite easy, there are lots of activities that work the quadricep muscles in your thighs. Cycling is a great one, particularly if you are mountain biking up hills.
Stepping is also great for the thighs, and there are always plenty of opportunities to take the stairs instead of the lift.

Abs are a little more tricky. You use them in almost everything you do, but there are not as many every day activities that work them in isolation. The best thing you can for your core strength is probably pilates. This is increasing in popularity these days, so classes are much easier to find and are not too expensive.

Or you can try a few out for free on YouTube by following at home:

A series that I use at home as its free and is quite motivational and at times humorous. So far I have gotten more noticeable abs. Hopefully if I keep at it I will achieve a full-on six pack. This guy has a few videos on workouts so I suggest mixing up which one you do per day
